About the Founder
Joshua Smith
Founder of Re:Skyn, brings a diverse and clinically grounded background to aesthetic practice, built on years of experience across multiple areas of healthcare.
Joshua began his career in dentistry, working as a Dental Nurse from 2013 for over six years, before progressing into ophthalmic care. He later worked as a Senior Ophthalmic Clinician at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for over five years, developing advanced skills in precision, patient care, and clinical assessment.
In 2019, Joshua achieved a First Class BSc (Hons) in Ophthalmic Dispensing from Canterbury Christ Church University. He then went on to complete postgraduate training, joining the specialist register with the General Optical Council (GOC) and further expanding his clinical skills.
Continuing his commitment to healthcare, Joshua returned to education in 2025 to study MSc Paramedic Science at York ST John University, alongside undertaking a PGCert in Critical Care with University of Buckingham in 2026. In addition, he serves as a Community First Responder, supporting patients in situations within his local community.

Re:Skyn was created from a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin.
With a background rooted in clinical care, Joshua developed a strong appreciation for the impact that precision, safety, and attention to detail can have on patient outcomes. Alongside this, a growing interest in aesthetics led him to begin offering treatments to friends and family, focusing on natural, subtle results.
Through this experience, it became clear that aesthetic treatments could be delivered with the same clinical standards, care, and professionalism found in healthcare settings.
Re:Skyn was established to bring that vision to life,combining medical expertise with aesthetic practice to deliver treatments that are safe, considered, and focused on enhancing, not altering.
